When one first starts Tarot it must be taken on faith that there’s a reason for coloring the cards yourself. The goal of the exercise is not so much to end up with a colored deck as it is to cause an internal change in the student. The act of coloring not only helps ingrain the Key in consciousness, but adds to understanding of the Key beyond the printed lessons.
This also holds true with the 3D Tree of Life. Anyone assembling one themselves will profit from the experience, even a neophyte whose insight is limited to the beauties of the tetrahedron. For an advanced BOTA student, however, the act of assembling these already familiar Paths is greatly rewarded, and continues to shed bounty as the student practices wearing the Tree with Tiphareth firmly anchored in the heart. It’s easily on a par with coloring the deck. Particularly if you’ve completed all the BOTA lessons, this is the next step.
– Frater 101
This presentation is specifically designed for BOTA students who are taking or have taken Ann’s course: Meditational Ascent of the Tree of Livingness. It also brings greater insight into Oracle. There is no new “doctrine” contained herein, but the introduction of a new tool for use in studying the Tree of Life and beyond.
The further along you are in your studies, the less likely you are to fall asleep during the presentation. If you’re not a student . . . merely curious . . . you should familiarise yourself with the following terms:
Kabbalistic TREE OF LIFE (Wikipedia)
The tree of life is a diagram used in various mystical traditions.[1] It usually consists of 10 nodes symbolizing different archetypes and 22 lines connecting the nodes.[2] The nodes are often arranged into three columns to represent that they belong to a common category.[2]The nodes are usually represented as spheres and the lines are usually represented as paths.[2] The nodes usually represent encompassing aspects of existence, God, or the human psyche.[2][3][4] The lines usually represent the relationship between the concepts ascribed to the spheres or a symbolic description of the requirements to go from one sphere to another.
TETRAGRAMMATON – YOD HEH VAV HEH (Britannica)
Yahweh, the god of the Israelites, whose name was revealed to Moses as four Hebrew consonants (YHWH) called the tetragrammaton.
CUBE OF SPACE (Wikipedia)
The Cube of Space is an occult concept popularized by occultist Paul Foster Case. The Cube of Space associates the three axes of the cube, the center point of the cube, the six sides of the cube, and the twelve edges of the cube, with the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
